The Stage Of Life: Be Seen On Every Scene

I love to hear my daughter sing.  She has such a big, gorgeous, classic voice.  She loves singing classic rock and Christian music, but she does dramatic singing so well, too.  I still think she would be a fabulous musical and play singer.  Like broadway!  That got me thinking about plays and singing on stage myself, as well as her Dad.  We’ve been on the stage singing and performing, as well as setting up behind the stage and even up in the balcony cheering on friends.  That’s three roles! Three scenes to be seen on.   Like a play, our own life dramas, are on the stage.  Only?  They are on the stage of our life.  for us to live out.  To do our best.  Our audience?  Everyone on earth...or at least around us!  And, God.  Our script?  The bible.  And with God's sense of humor?  Alot of improv.  It always seems like we are the ones playing the starring role and that the play revolves around us as the main character.  When I was very young, before I learned about God, I used to think that I was in a play…and we were all each in our own play…and we each were the star, the main character.  And, I always suspected that their was a whole bunch of people watching and taking it in.  Each play overlapped with the next…some scenes in my life were part of scenes in someone elses’…only in theirs’?  They were the star.  It really is kind of like that.  All our life scenes overlap with someone else’s and we take on different roles.  Sometimes, the main character, sometimes the supporting role.  So, in our life dramas?  You know?  The ones where we feel we are at the center…hopefully with Him.  We are performing…sharing our gifts…being seen…doing what we do best…our starring roles.  But, sometimes, we get to help the Designer build the set…behind the scenes.  Doing things…serving…living life behind the scenes.  Doing things that count, but are not counted out loud.  He counts and knows.  Our scenes are seen, but not us.  Or, we might be a balcony person…getting up there high in the balcony and letting other stars know you are there encouraging…cheering them on…clapping.  In all 3 life roles, you can be a star!  Make your roles count.  Whether it is a resounding count or even if it is a silent count that only He hears.  Whether you are the one clapping or being clapped for.  Shine your star?  In all venues of life.  So, you can be seen on every scene...whether it's on the stage, behind the stage, or above the stage...it's all part of the stage of life.  As, always, my photos are part of the story.  Click for the bigger picture.  The one at the top right is one I played around with and created to tell this story.  It is a shot of our church band leader, Robert, playing keys and Sam playing guitar.  He is kind of behind the scenes supporting the leader.  Kind of "the man behind the man"....behind the Man!  Right?  And then, though you can't see?  There are many people supporting and cheering and encouraging.  I call them "balcony" people.  Whatever the scene?  Let God be seen...in You!  See you there?  And, this stage of life we act on? Well, we are provided with a lot of props, rights? Some cool, some humorous, some mysterious...  But, props, nonetheless, to help in our roles.  Whether behind the scenes, on the scenes, or above the scenes in the balcony cheering, we roll with the role. Lets give props to the Stage Maker.  Cheering in the balcony...Trace.
